BEPANTHEN Eye Intensive eye drops, 10 ml

Bepanthen® Eye Intensive eye drops are particularly suitable for intensive symptomatic treatment of very dry and chronical dry, irritated eyes. They care for and moisturize the ocular surface and alleviate the symptoms of dry eye syndrome (Sicca-syndrome, e.g. irritated, red, itchy, watery and/or very sensitive eyes or ocular surface) by forming a viscoelastic and clear protective film on the sensitive cornea without im- pairing visual performance. Bepanthen® Eye Intensive eye drops are sterile and free of preservatives.

The special active complex contains dexpanthenol (provitamin B5), which, due to its high water-binding capacity, has the ability to noticeably alleviate symptoms of dry eyes, moisturize and additionally care for the eyes.

Furthermore, Bepanthen® Eye Intensive eye drops contain sodium hyaluronate, the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, which forms a uniform, stable and long-lasting protective film on the cornea due to its special physical property. As a result, the moisturizing properties of dexpanthenol are meaningfully supported. This is achieved by the high water-binding capacity of the sodium hyaluronate contained which also occurs naturally in the vitreous body of the eye, among other things.

In addition, the eye drops also contain vitamin A, vitamin E, phospholipids, carbomer and glycerol.

Vitamin A and vitamin E have an antioxidant effect against free radicals (e.g. UV-light). This allows them to have a protective effect on the cells of the eye surface.

Phospholipids, extracted from natural soy oil, support the regeneration of the lipid layer of the tear fluid.

Carbomer and glycerol lead to a higher viscosity of the eye drops and thus ensure a longer retention time of the drops in the eye.

The special active complex of the above ingredients protects and moisturizes the surface of the eye and keeps it lubricated.

The Bepanthen® Eye Intensive eye drops thus provide long-lasting relief, moisturization and intensive care for very dry and chronically dry, irritated eyes by:

• Regeneration of the tear film by lipid technology,

• Formation of a uniform, stable and particularly long-lasting protective film,

• Moisturizing and care with hyaluronic acid and dexpanthenol,

• Protection against negative environmental influences (e.g. UV-light) by vitamins A and E.

Therewith, Bepanthen® Eye Intensive eye drops provide a special help in the case of discomfort associated with

• mechanical stress, e.g. during wearing of hard or soft contact lenses, or after ophthalmic diagnostic procedures,   

• strained eyes, e.g work on the computer, microscopes and during/after long car journeys,

• sand grain feeling,

• use of certain medicines,

• decreasing tear production with age,

• allergens such as pollen, animal hair, dust, etc..

Due to their absence of preservatives and phosphates, Bepanthen® Eye Intensive eye drops are particular well tolerated also during long-term use.

Bepanthen® Eye Intensive eye drops are suitable for contact lenses wearers. They can be used with hard and soft contact lenses and do not leave streaks on the eye and vision is not impaired.

The contact lenses do not have to be removed during the application of the eye drops.
