Dimestil contains an active substance that belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines, which are used to relieve skin allergies and itching of various origins.

Dimestil relieves itching by blocking the action of histamine in the body. Histamine is a substance released in the body during allergic reactions. Because Dimestil is well absorbed into the skin, it relieves itching and irritation within minutes. Dimestil also has a local anesthetic effect.

Dimestil is used in adults, adolescents and children from 1 month of age for the temporary relief of itching caused by skin reactions such as rashes and hives, as well as insect bites, sunburns and first-degree superficial skin burns (reddened skin).

The use of Dimestil in children from 1 month to 2 years of age should be carried out under the supervision of a doctor.
