INTENDED USE
This kit is used for the qualitative in vitro detection of SARS-CoV-2 antigen in human saliva samples. It can be used for rapid testing of suspected cases of COVID-19 and as a reconfirmation method for nucleic acid determination after hospital discharge.
A positive result indicates the presence of SARS-CoV-2 antigen in the sample. A negative result indicates the absence of SARS-CoV-2 antigen in the sample.
This kit is intended for use in the home by non-professionals outside the laboratory (e.g. at home or other non-medical settings such as the office, sporting event, airport, school, etc.). The test results of this kit are for clinical use only. A detailed analysis of the condition based on the patient's clinical features and other laboratory tests is recommended.
Antigen detection is usually performed in the acute phase of infection, when samples from the suspected population are tested within the first seven days of symptom onset.
