Acetylsalicylic acid acts as an anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic agent and also inhibits platelet aggregation. The mechanism of action is related to suppression of the activity of cyclooxygenase, the main metabolic enzyme of arachidonic acid, which is a precursor of prostaglandins and plays a key role in the pathogenesis of inflammation, pain and fever.

It is used as an analgesic in cases of weak or moderately expressed pain syndrome, to lower the temperature during fever. If you do not feel better or feel worse after 3-5 days, you should consult a doctor.

Also used to inhibit platelet aggregation.
