Corneregel® 50 mg/g is a highly viscous eye gel. The active ingredient accelerates conjunctival and corneal regeneration, promoting the regeneration of damaged ocular surfaces. Corneregel® 50 mg/g eye gel can be used for:
- corneal regeneration;
- to accelerate the healing of lesions of the mucin layer of the ocular skin and tear film;
- corneal erosions;
- maintenance therapy and after all types of keratitis, such as branchial keratitis caused by the herpes virus and keratoconjunctivitis sicca;
- chemical burns;
- burns;
- dystrophic corneal diseases;
- for the prevention and treatment of corneal lesions, for contact lens wearers.
Therapeutic Indications Corneal regeneration.- to accelerate the healing of lesions of the mucin layer of the skin of the eye and the tear film. For maintenance therapy of corneal erosions and after all types of keratitis, such as branchial keratitis caused by the herpes virus; keratoconjunctivitis sicca; chemical burns; dystrophic diseases of the cornea; prevention and treatment of corneal damage in contact lens wearers. Can be prescribed as adjunctive therapy for bacterial, viral or fungal infections of the cornea. Note: Cornegel is not suitable for the treatment of bacterial, viral or fungal infections, but only as an adjunctive treatment in certain corneal diseases.
