Decatylen lozenges kill bacteria and fungi that cause sore throat and mouth infections. The lozenges contain an active ingredient that relieves pain. Decatilene lozenges are generally well tolerated and do not irritate the oral mucosa. Decatilene does not cause tooth decay and can also be used by people with diabetes. Decatilen is used topically for the treatment of acute infections of the mouth and throat with severe pain syndrome, such as inflammation of the mucous membrane of the tonsils, larynx, throat (tonsillitis, laryngitis, pharyngitis), inflammation of the gums (gingivitis), inflammation of the mucous membrane, oral mucosa (stomatitis), infections (such as thrush) after tonsil surgery and tooth extractions to speed up healing.
