Emelin® FF Liquid is an innovative, easy to use iron formulation in the form of ferrous bisglycinate (Ferrochel® iron complex) combined with folic acid and vitamin B12 for greater efficacy. Emelin® FF Liquid provides controlled maximum absorption, which is gentle on the stomach. It’s formulation provides quicker and better absorption of iron by the body. Emelin® FF Liquid is used to maintain normal levels of iron, folic acid and vitamin B12 and reduce iron deficiency.
Iron deficiency is one of the most common nutritional deficiencies, resulting in fatigue.
Iron and Vitamin B12 contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and normal red blood cell formation.
Folate contributes to normal blood formation and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing foetus. Neural tube defects may be due to multiple risk factors and that altering them may or may not have a beneficial effect.
The beneficial effect is obtained with a supplemental folic acid daily intake of 400 μg for at least one month before and up to three months after conception.
