Mucofalk Orange granules are used for the following diseases: persistent (chronic) constipation; conditions in which it is desirable to relieve abdominal discharge with soft stool, such as rupture of the skin in the anus (anal fissures), hemorrhoids, painful bowel movements after rectal or anal surgery, in patients who may be advised to have an increased amount of fiber in diet, for example, as maintenance therapy for irritable bowel syndrome when constipation is predominant; as a dietary supplement for mild to moderate high blood cholesterol.
