The active ingredient is ibuprofen. It belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs alter the body's response to pain, swelling, and fever. The medicated patch continually delivers ibuprofen to the affected area for 24 hours after application.
Nurofen is temporarily used for the local symptomatic treatment of pain in acute muscle fatigue or sprains after blunt trauma in the upper or lower extremity in adults or adolescents from the age of 16.
