Nurofen provides relief by modifying the body's response to fever, pain, and swelling. Nurofen contains the active ingredient ibuprofen, which belongs to a group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Its action targets the source of fever and pain. Nurofen is intended for infants 3 months and older and children. It is taken orally for:
• rapid and effective reduction of fever in children (including fever caused by vaccinations),
• relief of teething pain, toothache, earache, sore throat, headache, and mild pain caused by sprains.
Your doctor may also prescribe this medication for other conditions. Follow your doctor's instructions regarding: frequency and dosage for your child.
Indications: For the symptomatic treatment of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. For the fast and effective relief of fever, including fever following vaccination, and for the fast and effective relief of mild to moderate pain such as sore throat, teething pain, toothache, earache, headache, minor aches and pains and sprains.
