Otrivin 0.1% is an anti-swelling agent that quickly relieves nasal congestion. Otrivin 0.1% contains the active ingredient xylometazoline. It quickly relieves a stuffy nose, making breathing easier. Otrivin 0.1% is used to relieve nasal congestion caused by colds, hay fever, or other allergic rhinitis or sinusitis. The action of Otrivin 0.1% begins within 2 minutes and lasts up to 12 hours. It is well tolerated even by patients with sensitive nasal mucosa. Otrivin 0.1% can also be used to treat ear infections to reduce swelling of the lining of the nose and throat.
