Almagel A is indicated in all cases associated with increased production of acid in the stomach and pain, for example, with stomach and duodenal ulcers; acute gastritis (inflammation of the stomach lining); chronic gastritis with normal or hypersecretion; hiatal hernia (diaphragmatic hernia); reflux esophagitis (a condition in which stomach acid returns from the stomach to the esophagus) and gastroduodenitis (inflammation of the lining of the stomach and duodenum); heartburn; intestinal disorders; for the prevention of bleeding from stomach and duodenal ulcers; other gastrointestinal disorders and complications associated with the use of the drug.
