Carsil is an herbal medicine that contains the active ingredient silymarin, which is obtained from milk thistle seeds. Silymarin activates the synthesis of proteins and phospholipids in damaged liver cells, stabilizes their cell membranes, binds free radicals (antioxidant effect), thus protecting liver cells from harmful effects and helping them to recover.
Carsil is used as an adjuvant in the treatment of chronic inflammatory liver diseases, cirrhosis of the liver and toxic liver damage (for example, damage caused by prolonged use of the drug, alcohol consumption or chronic intoxication).
