CONTRACTUBEX gel, 20 g

Contractubex is used to treat various types of scars after wound closure. Contractubex works by inhibiting scar tissue formation, smoothing and softening scar tissue. It also reduces redness, provides cooling, reduces swelling, and reduces pain (anti-inflammatory effect). Contractubex is used in patients with limited mobility, hypertrophic, keloid (thick, raised scars, sometimes different in color from the surrounding skin), and cosmetically disfiguring scars after surgeries, amputations, burns, and injuries; after contractures such as Dupuytren's contracture, contracture (stiff wrist), and traumatic tendon contractures; as well as in cases of atrophic scars (scars that form a depression or fold in the skin).

Therapeutic indications: Hypertrophic, keloid, motion-limiting, and disfiguring scars following surgery, amputations, burns, and accidents; contractures such as Dupuytren's contracture, traumatic tendon contractures, and scar tissue strictures (atrophic scars). The gel is used to treat these types of scars after they have healed.
