Espumisan drops are used to treat symptoms of bloating. They are intended for use in infants, children, adolescents, and adults. They break down gas bubbles trapped in food and in the mucus of the digestive tract. The released gas can then be absorbed by the intestinal wall or expelled through intestinal peristalsis.
Espumisan drops are used for self-treatment: for the symptomatic treatment of gastrointestinal complaints caused by gas accumulation, such as flatulence.
Under medical supervision: for the symptomatic treatment of gastrointestinal complaints caused by gas accumulation, such as increased gas accumulation following surgery; for preparation for diagnostic examinations of the abdominal cavity; such as to reduce gas shadowing during radiographic or ultrasonographic examinations, for endoscopic examinations, as well as in addition to contrast media suspensions.
