Olydex nasal spray contains xylometazoline hydrochloride and dexpanthenol. Xylometazoline hydrochloride quickly narrows the blood vessels of the nasal mucosa and reduces edema. Dexpanthenol is a derivative of the vitamin pantothenic acid, which promotes healing and protects the nasal mucosa.
Olydex is used in the following cases:
- to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa caused by inflammation of the nasal mucosa (rhinitis) and promote the healing process of mucosal damage;
- to provide relief in non-allergic inflammation of the nasal mucosa (vasomotor rhinitis);
- to treat difficulty breathing through the nose after nose surgery.
This medicine is intended for use by adults and children from 6 years of age.
