GENERAL INFORMATION
Tooth decay is the process by which a baby breaks through its gums. Tooth decay usually occurs between the ages of 6 and 24 months, but sometimes earlier.

Discomfort during teething
The first signs and symptoms of teeth appear: the baby puts his hands or other objects in his mouth, swelling of the gums where the teeth break through. Sometimes children have a red cheek (on one side). Most symptoms appear four days to three days after a tooth break. An infant may have a variety of problems with teething.
