• Myo-inositol is a molecule produced by our body and is also present in certain foods.
• α -lactoalbumin is a milk serum protein.
• Folic acid is a water-soluble B vitamin. Supplemental folic acid intake increases folate levels in the mother's body. Low maternal folate levels are a risk factor for developing neural tube defects in the developing fetus*.
* The beneficial effect in women of reproductive age is achieved by taking an additional 400 μg of folic acid per day at least one month before conception and at least three months after.
